Our latest update to the transactions engine includes a new flow in viewing transaction data along with a new stats table.
To start, the new stats table will breakdown all your Charges and Refunds (when selected) to display relevant data on how that time period/items are performing.
The stats table will break down all charges that were processed via Peoplevine (called Peoplevine Payments including Credit Card, ACH, House Credits/Gift Cards and House Accounts) as well all the charges that were processed via other means, e.g. direct via the POS, PMS, SPA, wire, cash, entry, etc. As well a break-out of the types of refunds processed.
These reports, combined with our past update to start and end reports at your close time (e.g. 2:00 AM), should provide you an easy way to audit financials between systems. Make sure you adjust the necessary filters (e.g. Payment For).
As part of this update we adjusted the way you see the actual data. While chatting with accounting teams, we realized they come for the totals or the export. So now, when you run a transaction report, it will provide you with the table (as above) with an option to show the data or export it.
Upon clicking Show Data, it will display a list of transactions by default.
We also updated refunds, if you refund partial, we'll refund partial taxes.
You can now choose how to refund someone. You can now refund payments to a gift card or credit on their account to be used at a later date. You will now see this option when refunding.
